This Plover has been sitting (I can only assume on an egg or two) for at least a couple of days when we drive by now so i stopped in on my way home from work as its rare to see them doing anything other than standing. I'm hoping that in a few days there will be a wee one to report.

She must be incubating more cottons. The ones I've seen 'sitting' on the ground are fluffed out and kind of hovering slightly above the ground (not hugging it), and they have been sheltering chicks, not eggs. Good spot Titch!!
